No consumer products can afford to make mistakes in an insanely competitive cultural market. Society: a group of people who share a common set of values and norms. Values: abstract ideas about what a group appears to be right and desirable. Norms: the social rules that governs people"s actions toward one another. Mores : central norms in a functioning society and social life. There are many differences between countries as to what is perceived as mores. Example: drinking alcohol in public (canada (offence), china (nothing), saudi. There isn"t a strict one-to-one correspondence between society and the nation state. They may contain a single culture or several cultures.
