I found the concept of diversity (p. 10) very interesting because canada itself is a very diverse country so we"re exposed to this every day and don"t really acknowledge it. On top of this visible minority, there are other groups of people (like immigrants) that will soon be seeking job opportunities. The fact that this country is becoming more and more diverse as the years go on makes it more interesting and lets us see that this is and will be affecting our organizations in many different ways. I thought that the most intriguing example was the first one in chapter 1 air canada (p. 3). This company has not only gone through bankruptcy but has been through a rough hit during the recession. What i found amazing is that one man the ceo, robert milton was able to re-emerge from this bankruptcy; a job that i"m sure is extremely tough and unnerving.
