Montreal was the main commercial and industrial center of canada. Francophone speaks out against linguistic division of labour. Importance of symbolic takeover of montreal by french-speaking majority. There is a cultural and economic alienation going on in montreal, and so they start taking over the streets. Agrarian culture farmer, simple and plain.
