Then, write a 6 page paper reflecting on how these ideas relate to a monument/cultural space in ottawa. Please note that i will talk in more detail about this assignment and academic writing in general in class a couple of weeks before it is due. Possible spaces you can choose include: the parliament buildings, an exhibit at the national gallery, the ottawa city art gallery, the carleton art. Participation (15%): this mark will be based on your attendance at, preparation for and participation in discussion groups. I expect that all students will have done the readings assigned for the day and have come to class with questions and issues to discuss.
