Pracises, expressions, knowledge, skills, instruments, objects, spaces, etc. recognized as part of cultural heritage by communiies or individuals, etc. There isn"t one tradiion/culture/acivity that is most important it"s about respecing diversity of expression. Canada sill has very strong iniiaives across the country at diferent levels: newfoundland and quebec have strongest provincial policies on documentaion/protecion of intangible culture (and university studies) Partly due to their history, economic paterns, isolaion Loize circus school repurposed building in montreal. One of irst projects in bc to start sustainable planning (i. e. introducion of operable windows) Vancouver pays a lot of atenion to its cultural heritage. Created vancouver heritage register: simply an address list, statements of signiicance are very important in explaining the importance or reasoning.
