Document Summary

Some members of the population reproduce and other do not because of diversity. Inheritance of some kind - can be taught, genetic, acquired. Natural selection - environment and creature can interact to survive and reproduce. Sexual selection - only for sexually reproducing species - some creatures can reproduce, others don"t, dependant on the species. Arti cial selection (eg. breeding) - human being decides who gets to reproduce. Many people will believe an evolutionary story without evidence. If you got the gene, your going to have the phenotype. They are useful for females but only constitute a minor nutritive cost for males. When there are useless traits, they will be evolved away, due to how expensive they are. Something evolved for one purpose is used for another (eg. female orgasm in primates, bird feathers, jaw bones exalted to inner ear bones in humans) Everything has to be useful all the time.
