Cgsc note - cognitive science and the real world. Error where you have a memory of things that never happened to you. If you imagine something very vividly you will mistake it actually happening to you. There are lots of people in jail because of implanted memories of childhood abuse caused by well intentioned therapists. Cbr branch of ai that reasons about what to do by retrieving similar situations from memory. Some of the earliest ai were used to diagnose patients. They are expert systems which are lis intended to mimic behaviour of human experts. People don"t trust this because ai"s don"t think about it. Therefore there"s a ashing red light that makes it look like it thinks. Diagnosis: very small part of a doctors life; they won"t give it up to ai. How e ective is the computer/software at that its supposed to do. Economics that is loosely put in uenced by psychology.
