Document Summary

We sometimes create models in our heads when people tell us stories. If bored then your mind goes into different state. You reflect on long term concerns or goals. When thinking about the future we think bland and stereotypical. Whereas in the past we remember specific detail. Reason is we don"t want to be wrong about our future predictions. When asking people about random accident in past or future, they create more specific past examples than future ones. We underestimate how long things are going to take. Visualizing your dreams is bad because your mind believes it is real and thus feels content with just imagining it rather than completing it. Difficult to have emotional imaginary without actually feeling the emotion. When blind is accustomed to a room, they can sort of imagine how the room looks like, without a visual image. Evidence that long term memories are not pictures.
