Children don"t spend as much time as they used to. People were told about the fats in food and not about all the sugar that is in food. Social determinants of health approach: to what extent is childhood obesity linked to: 1. income and social status: employment, education and literacy. 4. social environments: physical environments, healthy child development, personal health practices and coping skills, health services. 9. social support networks: biology and genetic endowment, gender, culture, the wealthier the healthier. While most people do make choices, the choices for many are limited.
