It is not an accident or a fluke, but is fundamentally about power. This does not mean there are no other ethical traditions outside of the western ones indeed, there are many. In a day to day life, we often associated ethics with religious values. World religions such as hinduism, confucianism, taoism, buddhism, judaism, islam and christianity all of these articulate ethical values and principles that seek to govern human behaviour.
