Serpent says that they should eat the fruits of the tree of knowledge and be like gods and their eyes will be open (they will not die) (contradicts what god says) They fashion loin cloths because they now feel shame of their nudity. The adam blames his woman for the fact they have both eaten the fruits of knowledge. God punishes the woman severely (creates female insuperiority) God punishes the snake - he must eat only from the earth and he will be hated by humans.
