Setting up the recorder for radio: go to menu, record level- select middle, record mode- pcm, make sure time and date correct. Hold microphone off to side of mouth and angled towards mouth or above to minimize popping sounds. Don"t move mic back and forth to let people speak, makes noise- avoid moving it back and forth- get a good angle then just move it across to them at same angle. Keep mic 4-6 inches from mouth so its not muffled. Do not wrap it up around elbow- damages cord. Hold in one hand and let it naturally wind around hand, not tightly. Don"t let cord swing around- gently wrap cable around arm to keep it shorter. Listen to recording of mic while doing interview to stop popping noises, etc. Can adjust volume to headphones right on recorder.
