Main purpose of parole is to help integrate offenders back into society, to help this transition. At the federal level you are assigned a parole officer who assists in creating a plan of care; where you will go, what you will do, etc. At the federal le(cid:448)el there is a parole heari(cid:374)g, as eligi(cid:271)ilit(cid:455) does(cid:374)(cid:859)t (cid:373)ea(cid:374) guara(cid:374)teed release, just the opportu(cid:374)it(cid:455) to persuade the parole board of ca(cid:374)ada (cid:894)pbc(cid:895) that the(cid:455)(cid:859)re capable of release. The offender can have an advocate or lawyer at this hearing, however the pbc wants to hear from the offender directly. The pbc must look at criteria for approval, such as;
