Status determines obligations: age, class, race, gender, married women were not allowed to enter a contract, once shes entered with her husband, her husband takes over, rights and obligations based on contract. Things are said during a course of negotioation: there has to be statement of fact, statement of fact in error, statement must be meant to induce person to contract, that statement of fact must actually induce person to a, unconscionability contract. Remedies: common law remedies vs equitable remedies o, common law remedies, damages, reliance interest: paying extra money that you would not have paid if the contract was not made, expectation interest: the money you could have made if the contract had been fulfilled, equitable remedies, specific performance. Where the court tells someone you have to do what you said you would do something, but can ask for your money back: note: no personal services, cannot force someone to do, rescission, injunction.
