Like saying you are the reason for every breath i take": she wants to share her language with others and keep it alve, point of video: most of what linguists know comes from indigenous people. It is important not to think about it as mining words, but to understand the meaning and culture of those words and languages. Remember that they are not just sources, but people. The fewer speakers, the more endangered a language is. Some cultures have rules that you must marry outside the tribe, that brings in new languages, and threatens the coninuaion of their own.
