Document Summary
Chapter 3 the biological bases of behaviour. Brain has two natural halves connected by the corpus callosum. Left hemisphere: language, mathematics, analytical, sequential: 95% of right handers, 62% of left handers. Right hemisphere: visual, spatial, holistic, music, theme of language, creativity, intuition: recognizing emotion. Right side of body typically wired to left side of brain. Each eye wired to both sides of brain (though not completely & initially true) 2 halves connected by the corpus callosum -> helps the two sides communicate with each other. Ability to reorganize and compensate for damage. We see this when someone suffers a stroke or severe head injury.
