Psychological therapies: help people recognize and overcome psychological difficulties, psychodynamic, humanistic, cognitive, behavioural, social & interpersonal. Psychodynamic therapy: psychoanalysis, analyze individual"s unconscious thought, problems traced to childhood (conflicts about sexuality, help from therapist to dig into unconscious, goal = recognize the maladaptive ways they have been coping and the sources conflicts.
