In the 1980s stun guns were used in order to interrogate suspects: vs. hoilett: Lying, exaggerating, threats, leniency, moral justi cation, promises of assistance. Things like i will get your family involved, do you want them to go through that? etc. You might see promises of leniency, the detective can"t lower your sentence. Something that is quite common is giving the suspects moral justi cation, like i get it you. Sometimes more then one of these strategies are used. Stage 3: accusatory interview; telling the person they did it, and you have evidence against them trying to get them to confess to the crime they are being accused of.
