It also determines the basic notion of trust: can the primary caregiver be trusted to satisfy needs: true attachment: from 6 8 months and up to 18 months where there is a primary caregiver who becomes a source of social emotional bonding and if the child is in distress, they will go and seek out the primary caregiver to settle them, social reciprocal relationships: from 18 months and up and occurs when attachment is secure and the parent will interact with the parent and they will engage each other more.
