Could prove beneficial is terms of avoiding diseases such as tay sachs or downs syndrome. Even if genetic has strong component in personality environment can play a long term smaller effect. If something has small genetic link then the environment is what covers the rest. Cannot figure out exactly how someone is exactly come from either environment or genes. Debate can only occur when speaking about behaviour of large groups. Not able to tell how much which area has more influence. Twins reared apart: born together but split due to adoption. You can then look to see if twins are similar or different since they were raised in different environments. It is better to find results that back your hypothesis throughout many types of studies.
