Biggest reason why most people refuse to believe their brain is a computer (experience, emotions, etc. ) Emotions and thinking are ways of processing information. Who is the watcher that is watching the watcher, etc. Not information processing (searle: consciousness is something only biological brains do (chinese room, some animals may be conscious, qualia cannot arise from information processing. Symbolic processing (dennet: consciousness arises from symbols/language, certain complexity functionalist anything that functions in a certain way will be conscious, regardless of hardware. Religious dualism: consciousness is outside of physics itself, it is your spirit/soul.
