Boys that mature earlier are more likely to reach adult stage earlier. Boys are more likely to have acne than girls: more oil, eating chocolate or greasy food doesn"t cause acne. It takes about 4 years for girls" breast to mature to fully adult breast. Period during which an individual becomes capable of sexual reproduction. Hormones: organize (prenatally, activated (changes in hormone level at puberty, activate changes in behaviour. Changes in hormone levels changes the effect physical as well as behavioural changes. Hormones: highly specialized substances, secreted by one or more endocrine gland. Growth is a very regular, regulated process: from birth until the age of 3. At puberty, change in the growth rate: at the end of process, become able to reproduce. Adolescent changes haven"t changed in hundreds of years: changes might be in the process of age. Girls still mature on average, 2 years before boys: degree of variability.
