Two periods of intense suffering:
Night of the sense
Purification of body/thought
Night of the spirit
Purification of soul
-Can’t go up to god
-Doesn’t want to return to world
-In between both places
People in liminal state are usually withdrawn from social norms.
Liminal states are dangerous.
Mysticism and love
The mystic pain of separation derives from “you and I”.
Love for God is related to some kind of physical pleasure
Language is drawn from language of sexual pleasure.
Good karma bring you to heaven from Allama is not concerned with heaven.
Worship God for the love of God; not for heaven.
