Views of the afterlife: the realm of hades. King of underworld was hades brother of zeus. Cerberus 3 headed dog, guardian of the underworld. Only sacrifice is when people give sacrifice to all the gods including him. Prosthesis: women of family would clean and oil up the body to lay it out for the last respects. Loutrophoros: used in wedding ceremonies too, water of purification used on bodies as well. Ekphora: funeral precession , carrying the body out of the home to the cemetery for it to be buried. Women would rip their faces, whip themselves and rip off their hair. Elpenor"s ghost (elpenoor goes to osideous to bury his body bc he died by falling and wanted to go to the after world) Location of hades : they believe that the underworld is under earth and there are some places in caves where you can go to the underowlrd)
