With all of the constant changes, how has society still kept up to following their social order (class system) Technological change (anomie) amount of time spent on smartphone, how the phone is used (for what purpose) Social solidarity- the glue that binds individuals together as a society or group, connective-ness. Mechanical-based on commonality/likeness, sharing the same values and morals, common life situations, powerful constraint on individual behaviour, primitive vs biological. The need for expansion, always finding something new. What work is done that is unnoticed but affects the production and is considered labour. Produces wealth and inequalities, no in between. An individual has more due to another one"s lesser quality/quantity. Competing for different interests, reducing costs to maximize profit. The competition for class is not immediately obvious. Capitalist class, ownership of the means of production. Working class, wage labourers selling their labour.
