Politics (the study of power) + economics ( the study of scarcity/ limited resources) In order to understand why we get the funding we do, how we can increase our funding. How our clients are being effected by the economy and how we can further aid them. The systems in society that help people get through life. How needs of the people are being met/ not fully met. Tools provided to people in order to aid them. Its not what you know but who you know. Note: someone who does not have strong social networks is an immigrant.
