There are only two sexes, male and female. The two sex order is universal it is a fact of nature. The relationship between sex and gender is not a clear divide, but there are connections between the two. A male is a man and a female is a female because of biology. Essentialism is a part of binary thinking. Essentialism view that gender is a biological or psychological trait that does not vary among individuals or over time. It has also been used to argue that other capacities and traits are inborn. Emphasis individual components rather than the development system. Hormonal differences ( testosterone, estrogen but we all have both) There are other possibilities, but we have made it traditionally binary that the other probabilities are not possible, yet they exist. Conditions, multiple that result in a range of possibilities (see alex dragger video)
