To understand the past to support future feminism people must examine the links between women"s movement and other social justice movements, such as peace, civil rights, indian/native and gay/lesbian movements. Civil right included free of speech, press and assembly, protection from unreasonable search, right to an attorney in a criminal case and equal protection under the law. A status indian women who marries a non status indian men, looses her status, but non status indian women who marry status indian men become status indians. Women"s rights to education in the professions (medicine, engineering, law business) Women are being blamed for high divorce rates, failure in school, job loss and economic recession. It operates in a climate of victim blaming and scapegoating.
