Before this lesson, my knowledge about anthropology went as far as my remote control opening up my netflix application. Netflix contains one of my favorite television series called. Bones, which revolves around a fictional character named temperance brennan. She"s a world renowned forensic anthropologist who works with the fbi to help catch murderers by analyzing bones. This week"s course has made me realize that brennan"s field only reflects one of many within the discipline of anthropology. I had never considered the idea that there were various fields such as biological, archaeology, linguistic, and cultural. These fields are different yet they all connect and their subject matter is all directly linked to humanity. Also, the world of anthropology expands beyond studying the lives of those who have passed away. Contrarily, studying and observing present societies is just as important as getting the details from the past.
