Example: what kind of service would we like to provide, how much of our budget do we allocate to each of our pieces, fundraising issue, sponsorship. Decisions are made in isolation or within the context of groups. The act of choosing one alternative over another among a set of alternatives. Risk refers to the certainty or uncertainty of outcomes related to decisions i. e. , the probability of the desired outcome. Information gathering is key to reducing uncertainty (risk) and increasing probability of desired outcomes. Assumptions of logical thought processes i. e. rational decision making. Decisions are often in uenced by the values, skills, intuition or habits of the decision maker. Decisions are often made quicker than they need to be. Decisions tend to be comfortable rather than creative. Means for effective communication of alternative solutions to problems. The white hat calls for information known or needed.
