Document Summary

Hydrostatic pressure to help spiders extend their limbs. Hydrostatic pressure involved in molting unfurling of wings as an insect merges from its pupa: pump or propulsive structures, ex: heart, system of tubes, channels, or spaces, fluid that circulates through the system, ex: blood. Circulatory fluid remains within vessels and does not come in direct contact with the tissues. Circulating fluid is distinct from interstitial fluid. Circulatory fluid comes in direct contact with the tissues in spaces called sinuses: sinuses have highly branches structures, circulating fluid mixes with interstitial fluid. Circulatory fluid in closed system: 30-80g/l in blood of vertebrates. In many invertebrates, these proteins are primarily respiratory pigments that are used to transport or store oxygen. In vertebrates, respiratory pigments are located within cells, and thus principal proteins dissolved in circulatory fluids are carrier proteins such as albumin and the globulins, and proteins involved in blood clotting. Contain enzymes used to lyse foreign invaders.
