The deep structure of culture: the deep structure institution (universal systems) They carry a culture"s most important belief: religion, family & state are central institutions that carry the most important messages. They teach you: what is important, what is good or bad. They you understand: what is expected from life, where loyalty should be. Institutions survived many thousand years. (ancien times: lived like herds, father could have sex with anyone etc. ) Their messages goes from one generation to another, reproduced culture. Their messages are deeply felt usually people react strongly when someone insults their religion, family, community & country. We learn who we are in the process socialization, which takes place in the family first: Worldview is culture"s orientation towards major philosophical issues: Different answers: philosophy, polygamy or monogamy religion religare , related to the past. World view is an outlook, or conception of the world, it influence perception beliefs and values.
