Continuation of the west pediment, temple of zeus. The twisting and entangled poses represent the tension of what is happening. You can see the line of the roof based on the height of the figures. One figures is thought to be a female, deidamia. Shes being grabbed by elderly centaur, kinda like hes thrown her across his lap. Shes elbowing him in the head, putting up a fight. Shes just to the left of the central figure. If she was in this pose, centaur grabbing her boob etc. she has a very calm facial expression which is weird. Figures arranged in groups of 2 or 3, moving away from the centre from central figure of apollo. But the figures are alternately kind of passive. Iamos the seer: style: depiction of old age. first time in greek art it is realistic. It was just for non-human figures, a centaur is half horse, iamos is non-human because he has powers, hes magical.
