Id # - section dd - sophie dickins - subject. Descriptive: describe data, do not conclude anything. Inferential: use tools & techniques to make inferences (ie conclude things based on the stats) Descriptive stats are things like charts, graphs & numerical measures. Estimation (eg estimate mean weight using sample weight) Hypothesis testing (eg use evidence from sample to see if population weight is x based on info gathered from the sample) There are a limited # of possible answers.
