Relationship between these things and weather we should associate the challenges of the destabilization of democratization the sources of instability really lie in inequality. People have been very anxious about the future of democracy. Some people are proclaiming that it is the end of democracy. Post-year period when democracy = redistributive economic regime. Diffusion of economic processes to transnational network structures that cannot be regulated by states. Instead of having a middle ground, it is black/white. Trust in certain facts as facts: world of fake news, alternative facts etc. We do not have the opportunity for structural opportunities. More of an electoral strategy = mobilizing people. Rejection of expertise as a source of authority. Middle class stagnation: driven by the economic anxiety. Income growth flows to the top (can 1982-2013)
