Down syndrome: also referred as mongolism, is the result of an extra chromosome on the 21st pair. Klinefelter"s syndrome: is the result of an extra x chromosome in the male (xy) (xxy) the person would have underdeveloped genitals, extreme height and a large breast. Genetic counselling: it consists in helping people which have inherited disorders. Blood, skin and urine tests are the most helpful in finding out if a person has an inherited disorder. The tests to find out if a foetus is okay: 15% of couples suffer from infertility, which is the inability to conceive after 12 to 18 months of trying. Infertility is can be caused by: the age of the parents, old male may have ineffective sperm, and old women might have damaged ovum.
