If would give child w asd an iq test, see low verbal skills but high non verbal skills. High other comparable to same age peers, score same or higher. Actually above avg compared to same peers w/out asd in certain domains like math. In terms of iq, 60 is low (100=avg) but see the isolated remarkable talent. What see in media is the 5% or even the 25% Imp to remember that majority of kids w asd have intellectual disability and need tx or resources to function. As she got older, ability to draw actually declined. As became proficient in other things, other splinter skills decreased. How resources in her brain got organized as she got older. One of major deficits in kids w asd are social-emo info deficits.
