Document Summary
Whether religions can coexist peacefully is a question ever present in society today. I believe its possible religions can co-exist; however, i question the possibility that they"ll coexist cohesively and peacefully on a global scale. Globalization combined cultures, religions and values, especially in north. It forced religions to adapt to new surroundings, including the values and beliefs of religions existing close by (study notes, lesson 12, slide 1). Religion is no longer limited to one geographical region; it spread through the resettlement of its followers. Today"s predominant religions are the result of historical battles and conquests of years ago. Theological humility is proposed as a way for us to progress into a tolerant society, becoming more comprehensive of other beliefs. It teaches to love members of other faiths and understand their truths as being truths they hold as virtuous, perhaps messages revealed by.
