The father (love), the son (beloved) and the holy spirit (loving) Each of these persons also needs to be coeternal. There can be no hierarchy in the godhead. Each person, to love perfectly, must have been in existence from the beginning. God is unchanging and therefore, no muliplying can occur within the trinity god was always 3 persons, 1 substance. The bridge of christ : feet: desire for salvaion (memory/father, side wound: contemplaion (understanding/son, lips: love of god and neighbour (will/holy spirit) Holy trinity : god the father, son and holy spirit. Modalism was coined by adolf von harnak. It is a group of heresies which all tried to counter tritheism. Modalism tries to defend the absolute unity of god. Revelaion of god took place in diferent modes . God revealed as creator and law giver is father. God revealed as sanciier and giver of life is spirit. No diference exists in the three persons of the trinity.
