Individual organisms, which are discrete, genetically unique entities: populations, or groups of indivs. Important principles of ecosystem approach: environmental constraints, challenges integrity of the ecosystem and also the quality, environmental stressors, stress is an environmental influence that constrains organisms/limits ecosystem development, ser: stressor exposure response model.
