Class looks at 3 important values of the good life: well being (what makes a person"s life go well for her), Who doesn"t like pleasurable experiences? some things are good only instrumentally only because its good for something else. (cold medicine is a good thing when u have a cold). Caan eat, won"t keep you warm, it won"t put a roof over you head. One thing that disprove hero: self sacrifice . look at the cliche military person that jumps on a grenade to save their comrades. parents make all sort of sacrifices to their offsprings.
