Sampling from a population 2: non-random or non- probabilistic sampling. So you reach in grab one 30 times, and that"s your experimental group. Good, that means the 30 fish that are left are the control group. Personality in fish, the fish that you chose were the bold fish, they wanted to be picked. The other fish left over were the ones that swam away, and acted shy because they didn"t want to be picked. We know the first fish you grabbed had a very active dopamine level, behaviour personality, neurotransmitter activity affect it. The first 30 fish are not like the other 30. The fish that is at the head of the school of fish is the bold fish. The second group or the ones that see your hand in the tank and swim away. Sometimes your own procedure that looks random, there can be something going on in that tank, that you didn"t know about.
