Start from birth and go to 12 years old. Ability to move around gives us access to the world. The more we can do, the bigger our world becomes. See how big/small the role of movement is. 9-month year old moved around by rolling, on the back and crawling in a room. Got to see a lot in that room, played with everything in the room. Defined as the changes in physical movement and body control. Growth from the centre of the body outwards. Example: able to use their arm before they have dexterity of their fingers. Same thing for the legs and feet/toes lecture 5. Robust milestones sequence is predictable, but the exact age can vary: prone position . Chest up and use arms for support: sit without support, stand with support, pull self to stand, stand easily, walk alone easily. Each time we move up = world gets bigger. Once start crawling, move to anything around you.
