ECO 100 Lecture 1: Paulinas-work
Document Summary
In qualitative research, it is important to review pertinent literature on the subject of study in an effort to provide a logical background in a given context (wakefield, 2014). After examining this study, the literature review was found to be suffice. The article summarized key findings related to the stigmatization and discrimination experienced in people living with hiv (phas). From these findings, the authors were able to identify the importance of stigmatization in accessing health care services and the role of health care providers (hcps) in contributing to. Bringing this information to light strengthens the literature review of the study as it lays a foundation of knowledge that aims to prove the purpose of the research. Mill et al. (2009) then went on to state that although there have been renowned studies on this subject, there is limited research on the impact of stigma on aids care.
