Holistic health: caring for all aspects of a patient"s well-being whether it"s internal or external. The needs preferences and attitudes of an individual. Community (eg. available resources rural vs urban, culture) Main goals (bscn program manual, 2015, pp 5-8 & pp35-38: to provide holistic client-centered care , to individuals, families, communities, to demonstrate caring approaches, to focus on health promotion . Thinking like a nurse involves noticing important aspects of patient"s situation and making good clinical judgments. What do you notice about the patient: not in a good condition; partly conscious, abrasion on face, helpless, disoriented.
