Private brand: developed & merchandised for exclusive distribution by a particular retailer. Private label: developed to compete with wholesale brands. Store brands: developed for stores that sell only private brands. Complete assortment of products under their own labels in their own distribution channels- in stores, online and in catalogs. Ex- manufactures show samples to buyers of retail stores, collect orders and then manufacture the product.
