Metabolism, Stem Cells Cellular metabolism ATP: adenosine triphosphate is produced by mitochondria in plants - Glycolysis Citric acid cycle (kreb cycle) electron transport chain Stem cells - can replicate itself -can differentiate into many cell types -self-renewing and give rise to other cells in tissues, undifferentiated cell ex. hemapoetic stem cells (responsible for white and red blood cells) differentiate based on the environment (Niche) Capability of Stem Cells  able to test new drugs  repairs organs o ex: heart, liver Multipotent: cell with indefinite division potential which is able to generate progeny cells that will differentiate into particular cell type Pluripotent: differentiate most type of cells ex.
