-Contains numerous, thicker, and denser fibers (packed more closely), but with fewer
cells than loose connective tissue

DESCIPTION-
bundles of collagen fibers are regularly arranged in parallel patterns that provide tissue
with strength; fibroblasts present in rows between bundles.
LOCATION-
forms tendons (attach muscle to bone) and most ligaments (attach bone to bone), and
aponeuroses (sheetlike tendons that attach muscle to muscle or muscle to bone)
