The north is the most rapid growing population in canada. Very young population with a lot of needs: jobs. No roads connecting the northwest territories to nunavut (only available to travel by plane or boat) 3 zones of permafrost: sporadic, discontinuous permafrost and zone of transition (going from where trees are and where trees are not)
