When friction is present,there is a work energy theorem
the formula for a work energy theorem:
Wext f *l = delta K + delta U
where Wext is the work done by an external force
where delta K is the change in Kinetic Energy (K = ½ mv2)
where delta P is the change in Potential Energy (U=mgy)
Thermal Energy
When the work energy theorem is 0 during the object displacements, we can use the
Thermal Energy formula:
delta Etherm = f*l
where delta Etherm is the change in thermal energy
where f is the force
where l is the distance ( moved with friction)
